Social Media Assistant

Scheduled: 10 hours per week, flexible between 9 am to 3 pm EST-New York


Job Description

We’re seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Assistant to elevate our brand presence across multiple platforms while driving sales through compelling visual storytelling. You’ll be the voice and visual curator of our brand, transforming our extensive library of professional content into engaging social media experiences that connect with design enthusiasts and potential clients. This role offers the perfect blend of creativity and strategy, where you’ll coordinate content with seasonal campaigns, showcase stunning design projects, and help build a community around beautiful living spaces. You’ll work directly with high-quality, proprietary content and have the creative freedom to bring fresh ideas while maintaining our sophisticated brand aesthetic.

Responsibilities

  • Create and curate compelling content using our extensive library of professional project photos, product images, and on-site videos
  • Perform creative editing tasks including photo slideshows, video segment cutting, and content optimization for different platform formats
  • Strategically schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
  • Build and engage with our community of design enthusiasts and potential clients across all platforms
  • Coordinate social media content with our promotional calendars and seasonal campaigns to maximize sales impact
  • Develop 3-month content plans that align with product launches, seasonal promotions, and business priorities
  • Showcase new product collections, seasonal promotions, and highlight stunning design project transformations
  • Research competitors and industry trends to bring innovative creative ideas and strategies
  • Write compelling scripts and captions that reflect our brand voice and drive promotional efforts
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality posting schedules that keep our audience engaged and informed

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing multiple social media platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
  • Basic photo and video editing skills with ability to create engaging slideshows and format content for different platforms
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling tools and current best practices for organic growth
  • Strategic thinking ability to work with promotional calendars and plan content that drives business results
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborative weekly planning and coordination
  • Interest in or knowledge of interior design, furniture, or home decor industries strongly preferred
  • Experience building online communities and driving meaningful engagement
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently while following brand guidelines and business objectives
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and brand consistency
