Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing Strategist
Work Schedule
25 hours/week, flexible within core U.S. business hours (10am–2pm CST).
Role Overview
The Brand Strategist is responsible for defining and shaping brand positioning, messaging hierarchies, campaign territories, and narrative systems that unify the brand across all consumer and retail touchpoints. This role translates business and consumer insights into clear creative direction, frameworks, and storytelling that enable the organization to deliver consistent and compelling brand experiences. You take the “why” of the brand and turn it into words, narratives, and frameworks that guide all communications and creative outputs.
Key Responsibilities

Own brand positioning frameworks, tone, messaging architecture, and evergreen narrative systems.

Translate consumer and market insights into messaging, creative territories, and brand stories for campaigns, product lines, packaging, and retail initiatives.

Build marketing briefs that guide Social, Content, Product Development, Design, Retail Media, and PR teams.

Partner with Insights to ensure strategic clarity, differentiation, and alignment.

Create retailer-specific storytelling, including sell-in decks, category POVs, trend stories, and retailer narratives.

Lead narrative alignment across teams including social, email, retail, packaging, influencer, and PR.

Ensure all brand touchpoints reflect the brand’s strategic intent.

Support packaging messaging development and maintain messaging guardrails.

Collaborate during core hours: 10am–2pm CST.
Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years in brand strategy, messaging, integrated marketing, creative strategy, or brand planning.

Proven experience translating insights into actionable frameworks, briefs, messaging, and creative direction.

Strong storytelling, writing, and content distillation abilities.

Experience collaborating with designers and content creators to bring narratives to life.

Familiarity with CPG, retail, eCommerce, licensing, or youth culture categories is a plus.

Ability to think both conceptually and operationally—strategy must be actionable by a fast-moving team.
