Marketing Assistant & Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Marketing Assistant & Social Media Specialist to support senior marketing leadership across multiple initiatives. This role combines marketing operations, analytics, social media management, copywriting support, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is someone who anticipates needs, flags issues early, and keeps fast-moving marketing projects on track—not someone who requires constant direction.

This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, startup-like environment with shifting priorities and multiple simultaneous campaigns.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Gather weekly marketing data from multiple platforms such as HubSpot, LeadPages, Typeform, and Hyros.

  • Pull and analyze Google Ads performance data for reporting (no campaign management required).

  • Create clear and actionable reports on top-performing campaigns across all channels.

  • Provide insights to support marketing optimization and identify underperforming campaigns.

  • Maintain and update budget tracking templates, forecasts, and financial reporting documents.

  • Support preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.

Project Coordination

  • Maintain the marketing calendar and coordinate campaign timelines.

  • Update project management tools with status updates and deadlines.

  • Organize files, documents, creative assets, and campaign materials.

  • Help ensure deliverables stay on schedule and that no tasks fall through the cracks.

Copywriting & Content Support

  • Write persuasive, conversion-focused copy for emails, landing pages, social media, website content, and more.

  • Review and analyze existing copy to identify performance improvements.

  • Assist in A/B testing and document results and insights.

  • Provide feedback on copy performance using data-driven insights.

Social Media Management

  • Manage daily social media activities across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Create graphics, reels, and engaging content with aligned captions.

  • Schedule and publish posts consistently.

  • Engage with followers, respond to messages, and manage community interactions.

  • Conduct influencer outreach and assist in managing influencer campaigns.

Proactive Support

  • Flag risks, delays, or underperforming campaigns before they become issues.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve marketing performance.

  • Assist with miscellaneous marketing and administrative tasks as needs evolve.


Requirements

  • Experience with Google Ads reporting and solid understanding of PPC metrics (CTR, conversions, etc.)

  • Portfolio required
  • Strong proficiency in social media management across multiple platforms.

  • Basic graphic design skills for creating social media graphics and short-form video content.

  • Proven ability to write clear, persuasive, conversion-driven copy across marketing channels.

  • Advanced data analysis skills, including spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.

  • Understanding of marketing analytics and ability to interpret campaign performance.

  • Experience with marketing platforms such as HubSpot, LeadPages, Typeform, or similar tools.

  • Strong communication skills for influencer outreach and community engagement.

  • Highly proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to adapt to frequently shifting priorities and deadlines.


Scope of Work

  • 50%: Marketing data gathering, reporting, analytics, and project coordination

  • 25%: Copywriting for all marketing materials

  • 25%: Social media management and content creation

  • Weekly and monthly reporting cycles

  • Management of cross-platform social channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)

  • Support both consumer and niche audiences

  • Collaborate with external copywriters through data-driven insights

  • Work within existing agency relationships (no ad buying or campaign management)
