Social Media Manager & Content Creator
Overview
You’ll play a key role in strengthening the organization’s online visibility and lead-generation efforts by managing and expanding its social media presence. This role is perfect for someone who is creative, strategic, and passionate about using content to drive business results. You will help build and optimize multiple social media platforms from the ground up, create engaging content, and communicate with audiences to attract both potential clients and potential agents.
This is an opportunity to work directly with leadership, contribute to the development of a digital brand, and take ownership of full-cycle social media management in a supportive remote environment.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management

Create original content for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, including videos, graphics, and educational posts.

Develop short-form video content using creative techniques — even when the client prefers not to appear on camera.

Turn insurance and financial topics into simple, engaging, and easy-to-understand content pieces.

Maintain consistent branding and compliant messaging across all platforms.
Social Media Strategy & Growth

Build new social media profiles and optimize existing accounts with limited or no content.

Implement an organic growth strategy to expand reach, followers, and engagement.
-
Develop and manage weekly/monthly content calendars.
-
Post consistently and adjust strategies using performance insights.
Audience Engagement & Lead Support

Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries to keep audiences engaged.

Use content to attract:

Support light lead generation activities through engagement and effective content funnels.
Brand Positioning & Messaging

Help refine how the brand is positioned in the insurance and financial space.

Recommend content themes and creative angles aligned with audience needs.
Account Access, Setup & Compliance

Assist with centralizing login access and roles for all social media accounts.

Support troubleshooting of login, admin access, or password recovery issues.

Ensure all content and assets remain owned by the client.
Collaboration & Reporting

Coordinate with internal point persons for content approvals.

Participate in kickoff calls, planning sessions, and training as needed.

Provide daily or weekly reports summarizing completed tasks and performance metrics.
Analytics & Optimization

Monitor engagement, reach, follower growth, and general performance across platforms.

Provide improvement recommendations grounded in analytics.
-
Adjust content strategies to continuously improve results.
Requirements
Experience & Technical Skills
-
3–5+ years of experience in social media management and content creation.

Strong background in producing short-form videos and static content.
-
Solid understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube best practices.

Experience building content pipelines and strategies from scratch.
Creative & Communication Skills
-
Ability to create compelling content without relying on the client to appear on camera.

Strong copywriting skills for captions, hooks, storytelling, and educational posts.

Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar).
-
Ability to source on-camera talent when needed.
Industry Knowledge

Experience or willingness to learn about financial products (insurance, annuities, savings plans, etc.).

Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for social media audiences.
