Job Description
You’ll take complete ownership of all financial operations for a multi-revenue stream food business that’s scaling rapidly. This is your chance to be the financial backbone of an ambitious startup backed by proven industry experience. You’ll work directly with the business owner to ensure accurate financial tracking while they focus on growth and expansion, giving you the opportunity to shape the financial foundation of a promising new brand.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify daily invoices from commissary kitchen orders and ensure accurate receipt matching
• Enter all financial transactions into Toast POS system and QuickBooks with precision
• Manage cost of goods sold tracking and inventory reconciliation across multiple revenue streams
• Prepare and maintain profit and loss statements and balance sheets
• Handle sales tax calculations and compliance requirements
• Properly categorize expenses (marketing expenses vs. cost of goods for promotional items)
• Provide regular financial reporting and strategic analysis to business owner
• Maintain accurate financial records across retail, delivery, and catering divisions

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Toast POS system and QuickBooks (non-negotiable)
• Strong background in restaurant/food service bookkeeping and accounting
• Ability to work independently and provide strategic financial guidance
• Proven track record with multi-location or multi-revenue stream businesses
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
• Bonus if you have experience with delivery platform reconciliation (Uber Eats, DoorDash, GrubHub)
• It helps if you’ve worked with startup food brands during growth phases
