Senior Laravel Developer

Schedule:

  • 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM | Australia (AEST)

Client Overview
Our client is a global surf services platform gearing up for launch. They’re passionate about building a stable, scalable, and clean web platform, and we need a Laravel expert who can own the backend and drive architecture forward. If you’re self-driven, highly organized, and thrive in building maintainable systems, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development, improvement, and maintenance of our web platform using Laravel 9 (LTS).
  • Work independently across backend tasks, with some frontend responsibilities (Blade, JS, HTML, CSS).
  • Design and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with external services (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, SMS, analytics).
  • Optimize performance via caching, queue workers, CDN, and profiling tools.
  • Implement and maintain version control workflows using Git with branching strategies.
  • Handle CI/CD processes and manage deployments.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (architecture, API, database, deployment).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively, without needing constant direction.

  • Proven ability to design scalable backend architectures.

Experience with:

  • SOLID principles
  • Unit / feature testing (PHP Unit or similar)
