Role- SEO, GEO & AEO Specialist
Schedule- Monday-Friday 9:00am-1:00pm NZT, Part Time
Responsibilities:
You will make sure that when Kiwis search for a prepaid plan, an eSIM or a SIM-only deal (on
Google or in an AI assistant), Boost is found, described accurately and recommended. You will
cover three connected areas:
• SEO: classic search engine optimisation for boostmobile.nz: technical health, on-page content
and rankings on Google.
• AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation): structuring our content so we become the direct
answer in featured snippets, People Also Ask and Google AI Overviews.
• GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation): making sure AI assistants such as ChatGPT,
Perplexity, Gemini and Claude understand who Boost is, describe our plans correctly and cite
us.
What you will do:
• Run a technical SEO audit of boostmobile.nz before and after launch (crawlability, indexing,
site speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile) and work with our website team to fix issues.
• Research the keywords and questions New Zealanders use for prepaid mobile, SIM-only
plans, eSIM, roaming and switching providers, and map them to pages.
• Optimise plan, product, FAQ and help pages: titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links
and answer-first content.
• Implement and maintain structured data (schema) such as Organization, Product, Offer and
FAQPage.
• Build our brand entity: consistent brand information across the website, Google Business
Profile, directories, review sites and social profiles.
• Track how Boost appears in AI answers. Set up a monthly list of priority prompts (for example,
"best prepaid plan NZ", "cheapest eSIM in New Zealand") and report on mentions, citations
and accuracy.
• Write content briefs for our copywriter that are optimised for search and AI answers, and
review drafts before publishing.
• Identify opportunities for digital PR, reviews, comparison sites and community content (such
as Reddit) that improve our authority and AI visibility.
• Monitor competitors (One NZ, Spark, 2degrees, Skinny, Warehouse Mobile, Kogan and
others) in search and AI results.
• Report monthly on rankings, organic traffic, conversions, AI visibility and recommended next
steps, using Google Search Console and GA4.
What we are looking for
• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical SEO.
• Proven experience with GEO and/or AEO: you can show examples of improving a brand's
visibility in AI answers or Google AI Overviews.
• Strong knowledge of structured data, entity SEO and semantic search.
• Confident with Google Search Console, GA4 and at least one SEO suite (Ahrefs, Semrush or
similar). Experience with AI visibility tracking tools is a plus.
• Clear written English and the ability to explain search topics simply to a non-technical team.
• Organised and self-led: you can plan your own work and report progress without being
chased.
• White-hat approach only: no private blog networks, paid link schemes or misleading content.
Nice to have
• Experience in telecommunications, mobile, utilities or subscription eCommerce.
• Experience with New Zealand or Australian markets.
• Experience working with brand compliance or regulated claims (prices, network claims,
offers).
How we work
• Every public claim about price, network, coverage or speed follows our approved messaging
and compliance rules. We will share these with you, and content goes through approval
before publishing.
• You will work alongside our marketing team, website provider, media agency and copywriter,
mostly through email, Monday.com and video calls.
• We will agree goals for the first 30, 60 and 90 days together at the start.
First 90 days (indicative)
1. Days 1–30: technical audit, keyword and question research, AI visibility baseline across
priority prompts, and a prioritised action plan.
2. Days 31–60: on-page and schema fixes on key pages, FAQ and help content briefs, brand
entity clean-up.
3. Days 61–90: first content live, monthly reporting in place, digital PR and authority
opportunities underway.
