Overview

Our client is looking for an Appointment Setter (Healthcare) to serve as the first voice of a growing US-based healthcare startup offering federally aligned apprenticeship programs. In this role, you will lead outbound outreach to privately owned medical practices, engage decision-makers, and qualify interest in certified apprentice placements. Your efforts will directly fill the founder's calendar with consultation presentations and secure crucial early employer partnerships. This is a ground-floor remote opportunity for a proactive communicator who excels at cold calling and building pipelines from scratch.

Schedule:

• Part-time flexible during client business hours (Eastern Time)

Responsibilities

• Make outbound cold calls to privately owned medical practices, including primary care, cardiology, pediatrics, and gastroenterology
• Work from a starter list of about 250 practices with phone, email, address, and fax details
• Get past gatekeepers and reach the physician owner or decision maker
• Qualify each practice and confirm genuine interest in the apprenticeship program
• Explain the apprenticeship concept in simple terms to practices that may be unfamiliar with it
• Book qualified practices onto the founder's calendar for a full consultation presentation
• Research and expand lead lists to keep the calling pipeline full, starting in Georgia and widening to other areas
• Track outreach and follow-ups in the CRM so no interested practice slips through
• Meet calling and appointment targets as the program scales

Requirements

• Proven experience in outbound cold calling and appointment setting, ideally 2 to 5 years
• A track record of qualifying leads and booking meetings with decision makers
• Resilience and confidence in handling rejection and getting past receptionists and gatekeepers
• Excellent spoken communication skills
• Ability to hit targets and work independently
• Ability to learn quickly and clearly explain a new concept to prospects

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Bonus if you have experience using Crelate or a similar recruiting CRM
• It helps if you have worked with medical practices or healthcare offices
• Bonus if you have experience building or researching lead lists
• It helps if you have used VoIP calling platforms
