Job Overview

Our client, a boutique stationery and design studio, is looking for a talented, thoughtful part-time Graphic Designer for a long-term freelance partnership. In this role, you will handle varied, hands-on design work ranging from preparing production-ready files for new products and manipulating large Adobe assets to setting up wholesale catalogues, retouching photography, and designing Shopify/marketing graphics. The ideal candidate has an exceptional eye for typography, color, and composition, with the unique ability to take an existing creative element—such as an illustration, pattern, or product story—and thoughtfully adapt it across digital and print collateral while preserving its original artistic integrity.

Schedule

Part-time: Flexible hours (work whenever and from wherever, provided deadlines are met and communication is consistent and reliable) Minimum of 15 hours a week

Responsibilities

Creative Translation & Adaptation: Take core creative assets (illustrations, photographs, patterns, campaigns) and seamlessly translate them across platforms into emails, Instagram posts, web banners, catalogue spreads, and digital promotional assets.

Print & Production Prep: Prepare print-ready production files for new stationery and lifestyle products, adapt repeating patterns, and assemble detailed product catalogues.

Digital & E-Commerce Asset Design: Create web imagery, marketing banners, email layouts, and digital storefront graphics optimized for Shopify.

Asset Management & Photo Retouching: Manipulate and organize large Adobe working files, retouch product photography, and manage digital creative assets.

Independent Execution: Take high-level creative direction, solve design challenges independently, and deliver polished deliverables without requiring micromanagement.

Requirements

Proven professional graphic design experience (portfolio demonstrating print, digital, and typography work required).

Advanced command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and comfort manipulating large design files.

Excellent eye for typography, color theory, layout composition, and fine visual detail.

Demonstrated ability to maintain brand consistency and adapt physical artwork into multi-channel digital formats.

Resourceful, organized, and self-directed work ethic with reliable remote communication and strong deadline adherence.

Qualifications

Prior experience designing for e-commerce brands, especially within Shopify.
Background in stationery, print production, packaging, publishing, or luxury consumer goods.
