Are you a seasoned Shopify pro with a knack for keeping ecommerce operations running like a well-oiled machine?

Join our client—a fast-growing online retailer specializing in vehicle modifications and accessories—as their next Shopify Ecommerce Operations Specialist. In this key role, you will take ownership of customer satisfaction, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the Shopify store operates flawlessly day in and day out. We are looking for someone with 2+ years of experience in an ecommerce support or Shopify virtual assistant role, featuring strong hands-on expertise in Shopify admin and the theme editor. While basic Canva or image editing skills are required to keep product listings sharp, a passion or background in automotive aftermarket and 4x4 parts is a huge plus (though eager learners are welcome!). Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

Customer support

• Answer customer emails and messages about orders, products, fitment and shipping
• Handle returns, refunds, exchanges and damaged or missing items
• Track orders and keep customers updated on delays
• Write clear, professional emails that sound like the brand

Supplier coordination

• Place and follow up on purchase orders
• Chase suppliers on stock, lead times and shipping dates
• Keep stock levels and expected arrival dates up to date in Shopify
• Flag supply problems early and suggest fixes

Shopify store operations

• Add and update products, descriptions, images, pricing and collections
• Make theme changes through the Shopify theme editor (banners, sections, menus, homepage layout)
• Set up and manage apps, discount codes and promotions
• Check the site regularly for broken links, errors and slow pages
• Make basic improvements to SEO and conversion, such as product page copy, meta titles and images

Requirements:

• 2+ years in an ecommerce support or Shopify VA role
• Excellent written English
• Hands-on experience with Shopify admin and theme editor
• Proactive; ability to spot problems and fix them before being asked
• Organised and able to manage several suppliers and open orders at once
• Comfortable working on your own with a small team

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket or 4x4 parts (can learn this)
• Basic Canva or image editing skills
