Our client is a growing Hawaii-based e-commerce brand specializing in beach and lifestyle products with custom artwork and versatile accessories. Serving both retail consumers across the US and wholesale distribution channels, all creative design is developed in-house while products are manufactured globally.

Job Description

You will serve as the primary technical and creative partner for the business owner, taking complete ownership of Shopify web development, custom page building, and ongoing graphic design assets. This role combines front-end Shopify expertise with graphic design capabilities to maintain a high-quality user experience, support an upcoming theme migration, and create marketing collateral as the owner steps back from daily technical operations.

Schedule

• Flexible during client business hours, EST | 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Shopify Development & Theme Migration: Migrate the store to a new Shopify theme while preserving visual integrity; build custom pages, sections, and features with clean UI/UX; ensure full mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
• Integrations & Operations: Connect shipping software, apps, and third-party tools into the Shopify ecosystem; update and maintain product listings, site content, and general site architecture.
• Graphic & Print Design: Design product packaging materials, promotional flyers, digital assets, and marketing collateral aligned with brand standards.
• Proactive Optimization: Identify and implement ongoing site performance enhancements, visual updates, and user journey improvements.

Must-Have Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Shopify theme customization, Liquid, and custom page development
• Strong graphic design background supported by a portfolio demonstrating visual design and UI skills
• Proven experience connecting Shopify integrations and third-party software tools
• Highly self-sufficient working style with the ability to execute projects independently
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for remote partner collaboration

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Bonus if you have experience with print design and packaging layout
• It helps if you are familiar with B2B/wholesale e-commerce workflows within Shopify
• Experience working with beach, lifestyle, apparel, or consumer retail brands
