Do you have Shopify back-end experience? Our client is looking for an operational backbone of a thriving retail brand, taking ownership of the Shopify back end to keep product listings, inventory, and purchase orders accurate and up to date across both online and in-store channels. You will be the person who notices what needs fixing before anyone asks, brings structure to the catalogue, and proactively surfaces smarter ways of working — all while collaborating closely with the business owner to keep priorities aligned. 

Client Overview

This is a growing boutique retail business specialising in women's and children's apparel, gifts, and accessories — operating across both a physical storefront and an active e-commerce channel. The business is in an exciting phase of expansion, focused on tightening its backend systems to scale online sales and deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience. 

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Manage product listings and inventory on the Shopify back end to ensure accuracy across in-store and online channels
• Process and input purchase orders, including creating new product entries and setting pricing
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and update inventory records accordingly
• Conduct routine product catalog cleanup, archiving discontinued items and maintaining data integrity
• Identify process improvements and proactively suggest efficiencies to streamline backend operations
• Support marketing efforts such as social media content and promotional campaigns as the role evolves

Requirements

• Proven experience working with Shopify back-end product and inventory management
• Strong written communication skills for clear collaboration with the team
• Proactive and self-directed, able to identify next steps without constant supervision

Qualifications

• Bonus if you have experience supporting social media content creation or digital marketing campaigns
• It helps if you have a background in retail, fashion, or lifestyle e-commerce environments
• Bonus if you have experience managing inventory across both physical and online sales channels
