Role- Marketing Manager
Schedule- Monday - Friday, 40 hours a weeks, Full time, Flexible during client business hours, Eastern Standard Time
About the Role
We're hiring a Marketing Manager to own local, foot-traffic-driving marketing for our café business. This
role blends hands-on execution with real analytical judgment — reading what's working, why, and
adjusting the plan accordingly. It's a local marketing generalist role: less about big-picture brand strategy,
more about running disciplined local campaigns and letting the data guide the next move. You'll also help
lead marketing for the launch of our second café location, from pre-opening buzz through grand-opening
execution.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Performance
Set and manage a monthly marketing calendar for foot-traffic-driving campaigns — promotions,
seasonal pushes, partnerships, and events
Read performance data (Google Business Profile, email/SMS, social, ad performance) and
translate findings into specific, concrete changes to the plan — not just reporting on it
Local Advertising & SEO
Manage small-budget, geo-targeted local ads (Google Search/Local Services, Meta local
awareness) within a defined monthly budget
Maintain and optimize Google Business Profile and local SEO
Team & New Location Launch
Manage and brief a part-time Events & Marketing Coordinator, including a monthly content plan
Lead marketing for the launch of a new café location — pre-launch community building, grand
opening event promotion, and local press/media outreach
Provide clear, regular reporting on results and the reasoning behind marketing decisions.
What We're Looking For
Must have
Hands-on experience driving foot traffic for a single-location or small-footprint U.S. retail, food, or
hospitality business
A track record of reading marketing/campaign data and making specific, defensible decisions from
it
Working knowledge of Google Business Profile, local SEO, and small-budget geo-targeted paid
advertising
Experience managing email/SMS marketing and a content calendar
Comfortable managing another team member's work and priorities
Experience supporting or leading marketing for the opening of a new physical retail or café location
Nice to have
Experience in a café, bakery, or specialty food/beverage retail business
Experience supporting a U.S.-based small business while located internationally
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
Audit our current marketing setup and establish clear performance baselines
Launch the first monthly content plan and first local ad test
Deliver a first concrete, data-driven adjustment to the marketing plan
Establish a consistent monthly reporting rhythm
