Job Overview

We're seeking a Bookkeeper to serve as the financial backbone for a mission-driven healthcare and education organization. Working directly with leadership, you will manage the end-to-end bookkeeping cycle in QuickBooks Online, execute monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, oversee accounts payable/receivable, and generate clear financial summaries. This position is ideal for a detail-obsessed, certified bookkeeper who thrives in back-office accounting environments and brings meticulous accuracy to financial records.

Client Overview

Our client is a growing US-based autism education center and specialized school located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities live meaningful, purposeful lives, they are expanding their operations and require a dedicated remote Accounting Assistant to take full ownership of their daily bookkeeping and financial operations.

Schedule: Monday - Wednesday, Flexible during business hours (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records inside QuickBooks.
  • Perform complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure 100% financial accuracy.
  • Execute accurate data entry for all income, expense, and ledger transactions with exceptional detail.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready financial documentation for all accounting activities.
  • Process accounts payable (AP) and ensure vendor payments are scheduled and issued on time.
  • Generate and issue invoices to clients, funding bodies, and families.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable (AR) aging reports to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Prepare recurring financial statements and summaries for leadership review.

Requirements

  • Active QuickBooks certification is mandatory, backed by hands-on bookkeeping experience.
  • Proven background managing full-cycle bookkeeping, bank/credit card reconciliations, AP/AR, and ledger management.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills with strong data entry precision and analytical discipline.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience handling bookkeeping for educational institutions, healthcare centers, or disability service providers is highly advantageous.
