Job Overview:

We are looking for a creative and trend-aware Podcast Video Editor who can transform long-form podcast and interview content into engaging, high-performing videos for both YouTube and short-form platforms. This role goes beyond technical editing — we’re looking for someone with strong editorial instinct and a deep understanding of U.S. content trends, particularly in the education and career space.

Schedule: Remote, Part Time | Monday - Friday Flexible during business PST hours.

Responsibilities:

• Edit full-length podcast and interview recordings into polished YouTube uploads (intro/outro, captions, and b-roll if supplied).
• Cut long-form content into engaging short-form videos optimized for social media platforms.
• Add captions, sound design, transitions, and hooks that align with current content trends.
• Suggest clip moments worth cutting — must have editorial instinct, not just technical skill.
• Follow US creators in the education and career space on TikTok / Reels.
• Understands hook formats, pacing expectations, and caption styles popular in the US market.
• Knows how to structure a short-form clip that retains US viewers past the 3-second mark.

Requirements:

• Experience editing content is required.
  
• Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Descript, After Effects (basic), Frame.io.
• Portfolio with both long-form edits AND short clips — both are required.
• Nice to have: If you edited videos for a US-based creator, media brand, or educational channel before.
• Nice to have: If you Understand that podcast edits and Reels require totally different pacing and energy.
