Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized, creative, and proactive Social Media Marketing Coordinator to support a growing marketing agency and its clients. This role combines social media management, community engagement, content coordination, lead generation, outreach, client communication, and day-to-day marketing operations. The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently manage multiple priorities, maintain a consistent brand voice across different accounts, identify opportunities for audience growth, and keep marketing activities organized and on track. You will work closely with the business owner and marketing team to execute campaigns, manage client accounts, engage online communities, support lead-generation efforts, and ensure marketing initiatives are completed efficiently and professionally.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Toronto Time, with 30-minute paid break (35 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Manage and maintain multiple client social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels; schedule, publish, and optimize social media content according to established calendars; ensure posts, captions, hashtags, visuals, and messaging align with each client's brand.
- Community Management & Engagement: Monitor comments, direct messages, mentions, and audience interactions across client accounts; respond to followers professionally and promptly; identify potential leads, partnerships, and collaboration opportunities; escalate sensitive issues or reputation concerns when necessary.
- Content Creation & Coordination: Develop creative content ideas based on client goals, target audiences, and industry trends; write engaging social media captions and marketing copy; assist with basic graphic design using tools such as Canva or Adobe; coordinate content calendars and campaigns; review content for grammar and brand alignment before publication.
- Marketing, Lead Generation & Outreach: Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and prospective leads; support lead-generation activities through social media, research, and outreach; engage with potential prospects, partners, and influencers via email and social channels; maintain organized outreach records.
- Client Communication & Account Support: Assist with day-to-day communication with clients and internal stakeholders; manage email correspondence and handle inquiries promptly; follow up on assigned tasks, approvals, content requirements, and client requests; ensure marketing deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Marketing Operations & Administration: Support the execution and coordination of marketing campaigns; maintain content calendars, task trackers, project records, and client files using project management tools such as Asana; track campaign and social media activities and provide updates or reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management, community management, digital marketing, marketing coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong written and spoken English with the ability to communicate professionally with North American clients.
- Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts, creating content, and understanding digital marketing trends.
- Experience with lead generation, online research, outreach, or digital marketing activities.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management abilities to manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace/Google Suite and project management tools.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection, professional home office setup, and a personal computer capable of handling multiple marketing platforms, communication tools, and content-creation software.
