Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Social Video Content Producer to own the creative pipeline behind their law firm’s short-form video content—from the first hook idea to the finished, published, and performing post. This person sits at the center of the content process: generating hooks and video concepts (including AI-assisted ideation), coordinating directly with the videographer/talent to get footage shot, handing off to the editor with a clear creative vision, and managing publishing and performance tracking across all social and YouTube channels. This role is ideal for someone who thinks like a content strategist, communicates like a producer, and is genuinely plugged into current trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Abilene, TX Time
Responsibilities:
- Concept & Hook Development: Research trending formats, sounds, and hook styles across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and relevant accounts; write original hooks/concepts and leverage AI tools to generate and refine ideas at scale; build simple content briefs including hook, angle, key points, format, and CTA; maintain a running content calendar and backlog.
- Production Coordination: Work directly with the videographer to translate concepts into shot lists and shoot-day plans; coordinate shoots to ensure the hook and intent come through; adjust concepts on the fly based on what is realistic to capture.
- Post-Production Handoff: Brief the video editor with clear creative direction (pacing, captions, on-screen text, music, and emotional arc); review rough cuts and provide focused, actionable feedback; ensure final content matches platform specifications.
- Publishing & Distribution: Schedule and publish finished videos across all social channels and YouTube; write platform-appropriate captions, titles, descriptions, hashtags, and thumbnails; maintain a consistent publishing cadence aligned with the content calendar.
- Performance & Iteration: Monitor views, retention, engagement, and follower growth across platforms; identify outperforming hooks, formats, and topics to feed insights back into future concepts; assemble regular performance recaps for the marketing team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media content, video production, or content marketing within an agency or in-house environment (applications with portfolios will be prioritized).
- Strong eye for scroll-stopping hooks and genuine fluency in short-form video culture.
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to assist with hook writing and idea generation.
- Proficient with communication platforms including Slack, WhatsApp, and Outlook email.
- Experience collaborating effectively with videographers and editors.
- Working knowledge of social platform analytics (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Studio).
- Strong written communication skills for writing briefs, captions, and feedback.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple videos simultaneously across ideation, shooting, editing, and publishing stages.
- A work portfolio relevant to this role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic shooting or editing skills (Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut) as a backup capability.
- Experience in legal, e-commerce, hospitality, or related industries.
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools such as Later, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.
Success Metrics:
- Consistent publishing cadence across all channels.
- Growth in views, watch time, and engagement rate over time.
- A repeatable, documented hook/concept pipeline that avoids last-minute scrambling.
- Increasing hit rate of high-performing videos as performance data feeds back into strategy.
Independent Contractor Perks:
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
