Digital Marketing & Website Specialist

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a versatile Digital Marketing & Website Specialist to take full ownership of their online presence and growth campaigns. This role requires a unique combination of technical website management, paid advertising, social media execution, email marketing, and SEO. The ideal candidate thrives in a self-directed environment, working directly with a non-technical business owner to set strategy, execute campaigns, and deliver clear performance results.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM AEST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Website Management: Build, redesign, or take over existing web platforms; maintain fast, secure, mobile-friendly performance; fix technical issues proactively; and manage online checkout and product pages.

  • Paid Advertising: Plan, write, test, and execute ad campaigns across Google, Meta, and other recommended channels; manage allocated budgets; and track ROI per dollar spent.

  • Social Media & Content: Manage daily operations for business social accounts, create copy and visuals, and maintain a consistent brand voice and posting schedule.

  • Email Marketing: Set up and grow the subscriber list; draft and dispatch campaigns; and build automated email sequences (welcome, abandoned cart, follow-up, re-engagement).

  • SEO & Analytics: Perform on-page/technical SEO and keyword research; optimize local search/Google Business Profile; and ensure accurate analytics and tracking setups.

  • Reporting & Strategy: Produce monthly ROI reports, outline short quarterly strategy plans with recommended budgets, and communicate ongoing performance or technical issues early.

Requirements

  • Proven dual experience in both technical website development and digital performance marketing.

  • A portfolio showcasing live sites built or substantially rebuilt.

  • Verifiable campaign results demonstrating measurable return on investment.

  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical business owners without using jargon.

  • Highly self-directed mindset with the ability to turn broad goals into execution without daily supervision.

Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with small businesses (preferred over agency-only or enterprise-only backgrounds).

  • Basic design capability or an existing partnership with a graphic designer.

  • Strong knowledge of analytics setup to ensure accurate, trustworthy data tracking.

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home

  • Immediate hiring
