Video Editor & Colorist

Job Overview

We are seeking a Video Editor & Colorist with strong color-correction skills to assist with a high-volume content optimization project. The core focus of this role is to systematically apply specific visual styles, color profiles, and LUTs across video assets to ensure a beautiful, uniform, and cohesive look. In this position, you will support a mission-driven company that empowers local leaders and construction teams to build homes for at-risk community members. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week remote role schedule within the CST timezone.
Schedule: Final schedule to be determined, CST Timezone (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

    • Color Correction & Grading: Apply color corrections, matching profiles, and specific visual "filters" (LUTs) across a high volume of raw video clips.
    • Visual Consistency: Ensure white balance, exposure, skin tones, and overall color contrast remain uniform and polished across different lighting environments.
    • High-Volume Execution: Systematically process batches of short video files while maintaining high quality and strict file organization.
    • Basic Video Adjustments: Perform light trimming or resizing if required to complement the color-correction workflow.

Requirements

    • Experience Level: Junior to Mid-Level. You have a solid grasp of color workflows and video editing fundamentals. (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
    • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with standard video editing programs that feature robust color panels—such as Adobe Premiere Pro (Lumetri Color), DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or advanced Photoshop/After Effects video workflows.
    • Detail-Oriented Eye: A strong visual sense for lighting, mood, and color matching.
    • Reliability & Autonomy: Ability to manage your own time, stay organized with large asset files, and deliver completed batches on time.
