Graphic Designer & Social Media Manager

Overview

Join a premier, fast-paced digital marketing agency based in Iowa to shape visual brand identities and drive organic social growth. In this remote role, you will leverage both traditional creative suites and cutting-edge generative AI to craft sophisticated designs and video content for an exciting portfolio of clients.

Schedule

Part-Time (80 hours/month to start) with a path to Full-Time | Core hours aligned with Central Time (Iowa, US)

Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design & Visual Assets: Serve as the in-house designer. Create sophisticated, high-end designs for email marketing, social media, website banners, print, and other digital media projects as needed.
  • Video Production: Create, edit, and produce engaging video content (such as reels, TikToks, and social video posts). Proactively pitch creative ideas for recording and producing online content.
  • Social Media Management: Learn and utilize their proprietary AI platform, Social Studio OS, to manage, schedule, and execute day-to-day social media tasks aimed at organic account growth.
  • Strategic Campaign Planning: Collaborate closely with clients to plan social media calendars, promotional campaigns, and content schedules 1–2 months in advance.
  • Brand Alignment: Dive deep into each client’s brand to master their authentic voice, reputation, vision, and culture, ensuring all online output represents them perfectly.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Produce regular performance analytics reports for social media and email marketing campaigns to measure growth and ROI.
  • Team Collaboration & Follow-Through: Participate in regular Zoom stand-ups and daily syncs to plan and update the team. Ensure all post-meeting action items, decisions, and next steps are meticulously captured and acted upon.

Requirements

  • Exceptional Graphic Design Portfolio: Advanced skills with mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Canva. Portfolio must prove an elevated design aesthetic that goes beyond basic templates.
  • Video Editing Skills: Proficient with CapCut or other professional video editing software.
  • Proven Social Media Growth: Documented experience and success in organically growing social media accounts for mid-to-large-scale organizations.
  • Technical & Digital Fluency: Quick to adapt, learn, and master new software, including generative AI platforms like ChatGPT and Claude.
  • Professional Communication: Excellent written and spoken English. Comfortable interacting directly with clients and maintaining constant, clear communication with a remote team via Slack and Zoom.
  • Educational Background: A university degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent high-level professional experience.
  • Work Style: A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to "roll up their sleeves," and brings fresh creative ideas to the table.
  • Commitment to Growth: Looking for a long-term home where you will continuously learn on and off the job, with a strong desire to scale the role from part-time to full-time.
