Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an Appointment Setter who will be the first voice students and families hear when they express interest in tutoring services. The role involves connecting with warm inbound leads, understanding their educational needs, addressing light concerns, and scheduling them with the right tutor. This is an outbound calling role working with pre-qualified prospects who have already shown interest, focusing on meaningful conversations rather than cold prospecting. As lead volume increases, you will play a direct role in helping more students access the academic support they need.

Client Overview:

Our client is an established online tutoring platform operating for four years, connecting students at secondary, senior, and university levels with qualified tutors. They are experiencing significant growth in warm lead volume and are expanding their appointment-setting team to match demand.

Schedule:

Flexible availability required during Sydney business hours

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to warm leads who have expressed interest in tutoring services
  • Handle 10 to 40 leads per week depending on availability and lead flow
  • Conduct calls during peak contactability windows in Sydney timezone
  • Qualify leads and schedule appointments with appropriate tutors
  • Address light objections and answer questions about the tutoring platform
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls and outcomes in the CRM system
  • Work flexible hours based on lead availability and contact success rates
  • Adapt calling schedule as lead volume increases

Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills with clear, professional phone presence
  • Proven experience in appointment setting or outbound calling roles
  • Comfortable working with warm leads and light objection handling
  • Self-motivated and reliable with consistent availability during Sydney business hours
  • Experience using CRM systems and call management tools

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the education or tutoring industry is a plus
  • Experience working with Australian clients or audiences previously is a plus
  • Comfort with performance-based commission structures
  • Experience managing fluctuating workloads and lead volumes
