Overview
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Xero Bookkeeper to manage supplier invoices, client invoicing, bank reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping using Xero and Excel. Joining a growing construction and building services company, you will support day-to-day financial operations while helping to streamline and migrate manual accounting workflows. This role is perfect for a highly organized professional who thrives working independently in a remote environment.
Schedule
- 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible during UK business hours
Responsibilities
- Process incoming supplier invoices and receipts, ensuring accurate recording in supplier spreadsheets and project profit and loss trackers.
- Maintain and update labour diaries in Excel based on daily crew assignments.
- Prepare and send client invoices in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records within Xero.
- Assist with accounts payable and general bookkeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with the business owner to improve data entry processes and reporting workflows.
- Support the gradual migration of manual Excel-based processes into Xero.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure data accuracy across all systems.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Administrator, or in a similar finance support role.
- Strong proficiency with Xero.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including maintaining financial trackers and reports.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
