Our client is a commercial construction company based in New Zealand specializing in precast concrete manufacturing. They operate a high-volume precast department producing five to seven concrete panels daily with reinforcing rebar. The company is expanding their detailing team to support growing operations and ensure continuous project delivery.

Job Description

You will take full ownership of precast concrete detailing from structural and architectural drawings through to submittal-ready documentation. This is a sharp, meticulous role where precision matters—small mistakes cost real money. You'll work independently with minimal coaching, transforming structural models into detailed precast panel drawings that meet predetermined standardized layouts. Your expertise in BIM modeling will directly support daily production of reinforced concrete panels for commercial construction projects across New Zealand.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am -4:00 PM; New Zealand Time

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed precast concrete panel drawings in Revit or Tekla from structural and architectural plans
• Create submittal-ready documentation following standardized company layouts and formatting
• Model concrete structures using BIM software with precision and attention to reinforcement details Interpret structural drawings and coordinate with architectural plans to resolve conflicts
• Ensure all panel details meet engineering specifications for rebar concrete construction Maintain consistency across drawings to match company detailing standards
• Work independently with minimal supervision to meet daily production schedules
• Support a production environment creating five to seven panels per day

Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in precast concrete detailing
• Advanced proficiency in Revit for structural concrete modeling
• Proven ability to create submittal-ready precast panel drawings independently
• Experience detailing reinforced concrete with rebar specifications
• Strong understanding of structural and architectural drawing coordination
• Demonstrated track record of precision work where errors have significant cost implications
• Ability to work with predetermined standardized layouts and formatting requirements

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Bonus if you have experience with Tekla Structures in addition to Revit
• It helps if you've worked in high-volume precast production environments
• Bonus if you have commercial construction project experience
