Construction Project & Procurement Coordinator (SketchUp & Vendor Management)

Role Overview

The client is looking for a Construction Project & Procurement Coordinator (SketchUp & Vendor Management) to support residential remodel projects and occasional new-build work. This role is responsible for turning rough project layouts into clear next steps for vendor quoting, procurement coordination, and materials management across multiple active jobs.

This is a strong fit for someone who can work comfortably with imperfect or evolving design inputs, communicate effectively with vendors, and stay highly organized in a fast-moving construction environment.

Schedule

    • Monday to Friday; 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST; 7 working hours per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Review rough property layouts to understand project requirements, scope, and materials needs.
  • Work from handwritten plans, SketchUp files, and occasional 3D renderings to support project coordination.
  • Request quotes from preferred vendors based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Compare vendor responses and organize quote details for decision-making.
  • Manage material orders across several projects and multiple vendors at the same time.
  • Coordinate with vendors primarily through email, with phone follow-up as needed.
  • Track vendor communications, order progress, and key project details to help maintain momentum.
  • Support residential remodel workflows and assist with new-build projects when required.
  • Keep project information organized and documented to support efficient handoff and execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience reading and interpreting construction layouts, drawings, or architectural plans.
  • Ability to work with rough or incomplete inputs, including handwritten plans and SketchUp files.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors for quotes, procurement, or material orders.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially for vendor coordination by email.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to keep procurement and project information accurate.
  • Ability to work independently and manage moving priorities with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SketchUp.
  • Exposure to residential remodeling projects.
  • Experience supporting new-build construction projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating or invoicing tools such as InvoiceSimple.
  • Background in architecture, construction coordination, estimating support, or project administration.
  • Confidence following up with vendors to keep projects on schedule.
