Job Overview
Our client is seeking a curious, proactive, and detail-oriented GTM Systems Administrator to manage, enhance, and support their go-to-market technology stack, with Salesforce and HubSpot at its core. This person owns system health, optimizes revenue processes across sales and marketing, supports users, builds automation, safeguards data quality, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable GTM solutions.
This role balances day-to-day systems administration with continuous platform improvement across the GTM stack. Our client is looking for a natural problem solver who digs into the root cause, asks good questions, and turns messy manual workflows into clean, reliable systems that drive business value. They increasingly lean on AI tooling to work faster and smarter, so an interest in applying AI to admin and automation work is a real plus.
Our client cares more about curiosity, aptitude, and how you think than about years on a resume or the certifications you hold. If you are early in your systems career but eager to learn and a strong problem solver, you are encouraged to apply.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Configure custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, permission sets, profiles, queues, public groups, and sharing rules in Salesforce.
- Administer HubSpot properties, pipelines, lifecycle stages, lists, forms, workflows, and user permissions.
- Manage users, roles, licenses, security, and access controls across both platforms.
- Perform regular system maintenance, monitor production health, and support Salesforce and HubSpot releases.
- Troubleshoot user-reported issues across the GTM stack and provide timely resolutions.
- Design, build, and maintain Salesforce Flows (Record-Triggered, Screen, Scheduled, Autolaunched) and HubSpot workflows to automate GTM processes following best practices.
- Identify automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency across the funnel and simplify manual processes.
- Use AI tooling and native AI features (e.g., Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, HubSpot AI) to accelerate builds, draft documentation, troubleshoot faster, query/validate data, and prototype automations.
- Maintain data quality through validation, deduplication, cleansing, and data governance using Data Loader, HubSpot import tools, or similar.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in both Salesforce and HubSpot to support leadership with actionable insights on pipeline, funnel, and revenue performance.
- Support integrations between Salesforce, HubSpot, and third-party applications (e.g., Workato), maintaining healthy data sync and field mapping.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders, implement enhancements, and coordinate with developers or integration teams when technical changes are required.
- Document configurations, processes, user guides, and provide end-user training and ongoing support.
Requirements
- Some hands-on exposure to Salesforce and/or HubSpot, whether through work, internships, coursework, hobby projects, or a Trailhead/HubSpot Academy path (roughly 1 to 3 years is a plus but not required).
- Working knowledge of Salesforce Governor Limits and platform limitations to design scalable Flows, automation, and configurations.
- Working knowledge of SOQL and SOSL for data retrieval, searching, and troubleshooting.
- Experience writing Google BigQuery (GBQ) SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and analysis.
- Basic understanding of Salesforce and HubSpot APIs and integrations with third-party applications.
- Familiarity with AppExchange and HubSpot Marketplace apps and package management.
- Experience managing Sandboxes, Change Sets, and deployments using Gearset or similar DevOps tools.
- Curiosity: a genuine drive to understand how systems and processes work, and how they can work better.
- Problem solving: strong analytical skills and a habit of getting to the root cause rather than the symptom.
- AI-forward mindset: eager to reach for AI tooling to work faster and smarter, with good judgment about when to trust and when to verify its output.
- Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders, strong organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- GTM systems experience: hands-on experience administering a broader go-to-market stack (Salesforce, HubSpot, and connected revenue tools) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and knowledge of Service Cloud.
- Experience administering HubSpot Marketing, Sales, or Service Hubs.
- Experience supporting integrations using REST APIs or middleware (e.g., Workato).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Confluence.
- Basic understanding of Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to collaborate with developers (preferred, not required).
- No certifications are required, but any of the following are a plus: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator, AI Associate, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, or HubSpot certifications (Marketing Software, Sales Software, or Revenue Operations).
