Job Overview:
Provide remote clinical support by triaging patient calls and portal messages, documenting care in the EMR, and escalating urgent concerns following established protocols. Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered service while maintaining HIPAA compliance, productivity, and documentation standards.
Position Type & Expected Hours
Monday 8:00AM-2:00PM- No lunch
Tuesday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
* Lunch Every First Tuesday of the month lunch will be held 1:00PM-2:00PM
Essential Functions
Clinical Responsibilities – Remote Medical Assistant
- Uphold the client's mission, values, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a patient-first approach during all patient interactions.
- Triage inbound clinical telephone calls and Healow patient portal medical messages, documenting and routing concerns appropriately according to established protocols.
- Review patient symptoms and escalate urgent clinical concerns to the provider or clinical leadership in accordance with established triage protocols.
- Complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Communicate daily with the Clinical Manager regarding workflow, patient concerns, pending tasks, and operational updates.
- Collaborate effectively with providers, medical liaisons, patient experience staff, and other departments to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Maintain assigned productivity, quality, and turnaround time standards established by Midland Medical.
- Participate in daily huddles, scheduled meetings, required training sessions, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Maintain proficiency with EMR systems, Healow, Microsoft Office application.
Education & Professional Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in clinical setting.
- 1–2 years of experience working with EMR systems.
- 1–2 years of patient care experience
