Job Overview

Our client is looking for a motivated Outbound Telemarketer (Contractor Qualification) to conduct phone campaigns across Australia. In this role, you will introduce the company's service offerings, qualify tradespeople based on their specializations and capacity, and determine their suitability for major national property maintenance contracts. This position is ideal for an articulate, self-motivated professional who thrives in an active phone sales or telemarketing environment, builds rapport quickly during brief conversations, and maintains a high level of engagement across repetitive calls.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM AEST (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-volume outbound calls to contractors across Australia to introduce the company and its services.
• Qualify contractors by gathering information on their trade specializations, service coverage, and current capacity.
• Determine contractor suitability and interest in partnering on national property maintenance contracts.
• Accurately record call outcomes and contractor details in Excel spreadsheets for systematic follow-up.
• Flag qualified contractors for the internal team to send information packs and schedule senior resource manager follow-ups.
• Maintain a professional and engaging phone manner across short, repetitive calls throughout the day.
• Participate in initial training and onboarding, including reviewing and listening to completed sample calls.

Requirements

• Previous experience in outbound calling, telemarketing, lead generation, or customer-facing phone roles.
• Professional verbal communication and interpersonal skills to handle cold or warm outreach efficiently.
• Ability to build rapport quickly during brief, two-to-three-minute business conversations.
• High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfort working with contractor databases, manual call sheets, and basic Excel spreadsheets.
• Strong collaborative mindset to help refine the team's outreach approach and qualification criteria.
