Ready to introduce a great food brand to major UK supermarkets and build a market from scratch?
We are seeking a dynamic B2B Sales Manager (UK Food Distribution) to lead our expansion into major UK supermarket chains and distributors for our packaged sardine products. In this hands-on role, you will manage the entire sales process and work directly with the business owner to close key accounts. You will also set up the basic sales systems and playbooks we need to scale up. This is a unique opportunity to establish our retail presence today and step up to lead our sales team as we expand.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM UK Timezone
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and engage UK-based distributors and supermarket chains to secure distribution agreements for packaged sardine products
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to closing deals, including preparing proforma invoices, purchase orders, and contracts
- Build and document scalable sales systems and processes to support future team growth
- Maintain and update the existing lead database of approximately 500 companies, ensuring data accuracy and prioritization
- Train, monitor, and manage additional sales team members as the business scales
- Handle light administrative duties related to order fulfillment and client documentation
Requirements:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within FMCG, food and beverage, or consumer packaged goods
- Demonstrated ability to build sales processes and frameworks from the ground up
- Excellent English communication skills with a clear, neutral accent suitable for engaging corporate buyers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- High level of attention to detail, particularly when handling contracts and purchase orders
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a startup environment
