Recruitment and Administrative Assistant

Overview

Our client is looking for a Recruitment and Administrative Assistant to join a rapidly growing travel agency during an exciting phase of expansion as they scale their remote agent network. In this urgent role, you will collaborate with a dynamic 5-person team to high-volume source, screen, and onboard approximately 100 travel agents over the next 90–120 days. The position will initially focus heavily on recruitment activities, with the potential to transition into other administrative tasks after the hiring goal is achieved.

Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time (flexible schedule including potential Saturday availability)
  • Potentially Tuesday-Saturday or modified schedule including Saturday, 20-40 hours per week (half-time to full-time)

Responsibilities

  • Schedule initial web calls with prospective candidates who submit employment inquiries through the company website.
  • Conduct screening interviews to assess candidate fit with the company brand and culture, and provide hiring recommendations.
  • Source and recruit existing travel agents through LinkedIn and social media platforms to fill open positions.
  • Filter and qualify inbound employment applications to identify suitable candidates for advancement.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Provide regular updates and participate in team meetings to track recruitment progress.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition with demonstrated ability to source and screen candidates.
  • Strong administrative skills including scheduling, candidate communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional candidate interactions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
  • Comfortable working during Pacific Time business hours.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Experience recruiting for remote or work-from-home positions.
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting techniques and LinkedIn sourcing.
  • Previous experience in high-volume recruitment environments.
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays for team coordination meetings.
