About the Role
You will work directly with firm leadership to support legal drafting, case preparation, client communications, administrative projects, calendar and email management, legal research, document organization, and AI-assisted workflows.
This is not a traditional attorney role limited to legal research or drafting. We are looking for someone who can think like a lawyer, operate like a project manager, and provide high-level executive support in a fast-paced remote legal environment.
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Woodbury, MN
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents, correspondence, memos, and client materials
- Assist with legal research and case preparation for U.S. veterans law matters
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, email follow-up, and internal priorities
- Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and outside stakeholders
- Help organize case files, evidence, records, and administrative workflows
- Support intake, client updates, task tracking, and project management
- Use AI tools and legal technology to improve speed, accuracy, and organization
- Assist firm leadership with executive support and special projects
- Participate professionally in regular video calls with attorneys, staff, and clients
Must-Haves
- Law degree and attorney licensure in a Latin American country
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience working with U.S. law firms, attorneys, legal departments, or U.S.-based professionals
- Prior experience as an executive assistant, legal assistant, paralegal, legal operations specialist, or similar role
- Strong legal writing, research, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to work during U.S. business hours
- Dedicated home office suitable for confidential legal work
- Reliable high-speed internet with a backup connection or contingency plan
- Modern computer capable of supporting multiple applications and video conferencing
- Professional headset, webcam, and video-call setup suitable for remote legal work
- Comfortable participating in regular video calls with attorneys, staff, and clients
- Quiet, professional work environment
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with legal technology, CRM systems, document management, or AI tools
- Experience supporting a U.S. law firm remotely
- Experience improving systems, workflows, or administrative processes
- Comfort working directly with firm owners, attorneys, and clients
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a licensed attorney in Latin America who has worked with U.S. law firms or U.S.-based legal professionals and is comfortable performing both legal and high-level administrative work.
You should be organized, reliable, detail-oriented, tech-forward, and comfortable working in a remote environment where written communication, follow-through, confidentiality, video communication, and sound judgment matter every day.
