IT Support Analyst (Windows & Microsoft 365)
Overview:
As an IT Support Analyst, you provide essential technical support and assist in maintaining IT systems and infrastructure. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting IT issues, supporting end-users, and assisting in system updates and documentation. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT operations while developing technical skills.
Schedule: Fixed schedule, EST
Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting IT systems and network infrastructure
- Provide technical support and resolve basic IT-related issues
- Assist with hardware and software installations and configurations
- Document system changes, issues, and solutions
- Support IT projects and initiatives in collaboration with senior team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies and IT best practices
- Assist in user training and onboarding for IT tools
- Participate in system audits and performance assessments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, or similar software, with the ability to learn new tools
- Provide after-hours or on-call support, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Required:
- Associate’s degree in computer science, technology, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 6+ years of related experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training.
- Advanced experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience with user account administration, security groups, permissions, and access management using Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, wireless networking, and common network troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral support.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+,
Security+, ITIL Foundation, MCSA, CCNA) - Familiarity with scripting and automation tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, MFA, and security incident response.
