CAD Production Drafter (CabinetVision)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CAD Production Drafter (CabinetVision) with strong CabinetVision expertise to support our design and manufacturing team. In this part-time remote role, you will take preliminary kitchen and cabinetry designs from our sales team and transform them into detailed, production-ready shop drawings, cut lists, and technical construction documents. The ideal candidate has advanced experience in CabinetVision (CAD/CAM), a deep understanding of custom millwork and woodworking construction methods, and familiarity with CNC manufacturing workflows. This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM EST (20 hours per week).

Mon-Fri, 7 am - 11 am EST time (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Review preliminary CabinetVision designs and design intent provided by the sales and design team.
  • Develop complete, fabrication-ready shop drawings and technical construction documents.
  • Generate accurate cut lists, material requirements, hardware schedules, and production specifications.
  • Configure cabinet construction methods, joinery details, materials, and manufacturing parameters within CabinetVision.
  • Produce CNC-ready output and machining data when required.
  • Verify dimensions, clearances, and construction details for accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Identify design conflicts, missing information, or production concerns and communicate recommendations to the team.
  • Maintain consistency with company construction standards and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to ensure drawings accurately reflect production requirements.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience using CabinetVision software.
  • Strong understanding of custom cabinetry, millwork, and woodworking construction methods.
  • Experience creating shop drawings, production drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with CNC manufacturing workflows, panel processing, and cabinet production.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings, elevations, floor plans, and design specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with remote and in-house team members
  • Experience in custom kitchen and bath cabinetry manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cabinet hardware systems, drawer systems, and construction standards is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a production environment with CNC equipment and automated manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Understanding of residential cabinetry design and installation requirements is preferred.
