Job Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Contracts Administrator (Construction) to support construction project delivery across procurement, contract administration, and financial management functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction finance workflows, subcontractor management, and cost tracking within a project environment. A key requirement for this role is experience using Cheops (CSSP) or similar construction management systems.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM [Sydney Time] (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Support procurement activities including tender preparation, issuing subcontract packages, and evaluating submissions.
- Assist in contract administration ensuring documentation aligns with project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Manage subcontractor progress claims, variations, and payment processing using Cheops.
- Oversee invoice processing through Cheops paperless workflow systems, including approvals and documentation checks.
- Reconcile project costs against budgets, purchase orders, and contractual agreements.
- Assist in preparation of client invoices, progress claims, and financial reporting.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and outstanding payments across projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction contract administration.
- Strong experience in procurement, tendering, and subcontractor management.
- Solid understanding of subcontractor claims, progress payments, and variations.
- Experience using Cheops (CSSP) or similar construction management systems.
- Knowledge of Australian construction industry practices and GST compliance.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and tasks independently.
