Our client is looking for an experienced Residential Drafter to join the team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, self-sufficient, and experienced working with Australian residential builders, with a strong understanding of local standards and regulations in NSW and VIC.
Client Overview
Our client is a construction and drafting support provider specializing in delivering high-quality documentation and coordination services for residential building projects across Australia. Their focus is on accuracy, compliance, and practical buildability to support builders through all stages of project delivery.
Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Revesby, NSW), with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed residential construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings
- Coordinate and overlay service drawings (electrical, hydraulic, structural) onto architectural documentation
- Identify and resolve design clashes, inconsistencies, and coordination issues
- Ensure all drawings comply with Australian building standards and relevant NSW & VIC regulations
- Liaise with builders, consultants, and internal teams to ensure accurate coordination and buildability
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and documentation quality across all outputs
- Manage workload and deadlines independently to ensure the timely delivery of drawings and updates
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years drafting experience with Australian residential builders (references required), including proven delivery of Class 1a residential projects
- Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, approval processes, and NSW & VIC regulatory frameworks
- Experience coordinating and overlaying service drawings across disciplines with strong understanding of buildability principles
- Solid understanding of residential construction methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or semi-independent setup
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation quality
- Excellent communication skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines
