Our client is looking for an experienced Residential Drafter to join the team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, self-sufficient, and experienced working with Australian residential builders, with a strong understanding of local standards and regulations in NSW and VIC.

Client Overview

Our client is a construction and drafting support provider specializing in delivering high-quality documentation and coordination services for residential building projects across Australia. Their focus is on accuracy, compliance, and practical buildability to support builders through all stages of project delivery.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Revesby, NSW), with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed residential construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings
• Coordinate and overlay service drawings (electrical, hydraulic, structural) onto architectural documentation
• Identify and resolve design clashes, inconsistencies, and coordination issues
• Ensure all drawings comply with Australian building standards and relevant NSW & VIC regulations
• Liaise with builders, consultants, and internal teams to ensure accurate coordination and buildability
• Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and documentation quality across all outputs
• Manage workload and deadlines independently to ensure the timely delivery of drawings and updates

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years drafting experience with Australian residential builders (references required), including proven delivery of Class 1a residential projects
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, approval processes, and NSW & VIC regulatory frameworks
• Experience coordinating and overlaying service drawings across disciplines with strong understanding of buildability principles
• Solid understanding of residential construction methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or semi-independent setup
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation quality
• Excellent communication skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines
