Email Marketing Strategist (Klaviyo & Shopify)

Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven full-time Email Marketing Strategist to manage email marketing programs for a portfolio of agency clients from strategy through execution. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of email campaigns—from planning calendars and building flows to analyzing performance metrics and optimizing segmentation. The ideal candidate is a proactive platform expert who can translate data into growth opportunities and confidently communicate actionable recommendations to help our e-commerce clients scale.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time (MT) 1-hour unpaid break (8 paid hours per day)

Responsibilities

  • Build, edit, test, and schedule email marketing campaigns and automated flows within Klaviyo.
  • Maintain comprehensive client email marketing calendars and coordinate with internal designers and copywriters to ensure all deployments are on time and on-brand.
  • Pull regular performance reports to track and analyze key metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, and revenue attribution.
  • Translate platform data and performance trends into clear, actionable recommendations for both internal teams and clients.
  • Develop and refine comprehensive email strategies, focusing on advanced segmentation, rigorous A/B testing, and lifecycle marketing opportunities.
  • Advise clients on list growth, engagement strategies, and list health maintenance.
  • Build client-facing performance reports and present campaign strategies and results clearly during client meetings.
  • Stay current on email platform updates, deliverability standards, compliance laws, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on professional email marketing experience, preferably within an agency environment managing multiple client accounts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Klaviyo, including building campaigns, setting up complex automated flows, managing lists/segments, and interpreting platform analytics.
  • Deep understanding of email marketing fundamentals, including email deliverability, list cleaning, segmentation strategy, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to read performance data, identify trends, and turn numbers into strategic growth plans.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to articulate strategy and data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce brands and platforms, specifically Shopify, as the majority of the client portfolio operates in this space.
  • Availability and commitment to work the required hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time.
  • Familiarity with alternative email marketing and SMS platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, ReDo, or Attentive is a plus.
