Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Research & Information Gathering Specialist - Cold Calls to conduct outbound calls and source critical insurance data from target companies. In this role, you will leverage tools like Apollo and VoIP platforms to identify decision-makers, uncover key renewal dates, and build the foundational intelligence that drives our sales pipeline. If you possess an engaging phone presence and a knack for gathering accurate business insights independently, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Schedule

• Part-time (Approximately 20 hours per week) Monday-Friday 9 AM -1 PM EST

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls to target companies to gather key insurance plan details including renewal dates, current carriers, and decision-maker contacts
• Persistently follow up with multiple contacts within each organization to ensure complete and accurate data collection
• Maintain and update a centralized spreadsheet with all gathered intelligence in a timely and organized manner
• Build rapport and trust with gatekeepers and contacts to facilitate the sharing of sensitive business information
• Use Apollo to source and verify contact information for target companies
• Flag high-priority prospects based on upcoming renewal dates for timely outreach sequencing

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional, conversational, and trustworthy phone presence
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track data across a large volume of companies
• High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of collected information
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in phone-based research, data gathering, or customer-facing outreach roles
• Comfortable working in Canadian Eastern time zone hours

Scope:

• Initial focus on a list of approximately 100 target companies with persistent multi-touch outreach
• Calls will be made using a Canadian phone number via a VoIP platform
• Data gathered will feed directly into targeted sales sequences and mail-out campaigns
• Potential to expand scope as additional tasks and responsibilities are identified
• Collaboration with the existing appointment setter to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified prospects
