Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Accountant (Canadian Tax & Financial Management)  to handle end-to-end financial management. This is a long-term, ongoing engagement covering all internal financial operations.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Flexible Hours | Eastern Time (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Manage all bookkeeping and accounting functions, including clearing approximately one year of financial backlogs
• Prepare and file business taxes in compliance with Canadian tax requirements
• Develop and maintain budgets to support financial planning during periods of rapid growth
• Track and reconcile expenses across both business and personal accounts
• Provide financial forecasting to help the business owner make informed decisions ahead of peak seasons

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CPA or accountant handling end-to-end financial management for small businesses
• Strong understanding of tax preparation, budgeting, and expense tracking
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and proactively communicate financial insights to the business owner
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple financial priorities simultaneously
