Job Description
We are seeking a tenacious B2B Business Development Representative (Construction & Energy Sector) to drive our outbound lead generation and appointment setting. This role is critical in bridging the gap between cold outreach and high-level technical discussions led by our directors.
You will be responsible for navigating complex organizations, qualifying high-voltage project opportunities, and ensuring our commercial team has a consistent pipeline of meetings with senior stakeholders in the energy sector.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM UK time (35 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to pre-qualified leads from databases like Barbour ABI.
- Engage senior-level decision-makers to assess project requirements and alignment.
- Qualify prospects based on project scale and technical fit for the company's services.
- Schedule detailed discovery meetings for the commercial and technical directors.
- Manage and prioritize a lead pipeline to ensure consistent daily outreach activity.
- Handle professional objections and navigate gatekeepers to reach key stakeholders.
- Maintain precise records of call outcomes and prospect intelligence in the CRM.
- Collaborate with the technical team to refine messaging for the energy market.
Requirements
- Proven track record in B2B business development or outbound sales.
- Exceptional objection-handling and gatekeeper-navigation skills.
- Professional phone manner capable of engaging senior corporate contacts.
- Strong verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage call targets without direct supervision.
- Strong organizational skills for managing complex follow-up cycles.
- Bonus if you have experience with lead databases like Barbour ABI.
- It helps if you have prior exposure to engineering, energy, or construction sectors.
