Appointment Setter (Insurance Telemarketing)
Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Appointment Setter with a strong background in insurance telemarketing, ideally within Life Insurance, to support high-volume outbound lead generation campaigns for the U.S. market. This role focuses exclusively on qualifying leads and booking appointments for licensed insurance sales agents — not closing sales.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM CST (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls using approved scripts to generate interest in insurance products.
- Qualify prospects by identifying need, interest, and willingness to speak with a licensed sales agent.
- Handle objections confidently and maintain engagement throughout the call.
- Book qualified appointments for the sales team.
- Maintain consistent daily and weekly call volume targets.
- Accurately update CRM and dialer systems with call outcomes and lead status.
- Ensure smooth handover of qualified leads to the closing team.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years experience in outbound telemarketing, appointment setting, or cold calling.
- Strong experience in Life Insurance is highly preferred.
- Open to candidates with experience in other insurance verticals (e.g., P&C, Health, Final Expense, etc.).
- Strong verbal communication skills with a clear, professional phone presence.
- Ability to follow scripts while adapting naturally to conversation flow.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable handling rejection.
- High attention to detail in CRM updates and lead qualification.
