AI Systems Technician

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled AI Systems Technician to join our growing team. This role combines traditional IT support responsibilities with emerging AI technologies, making it ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, automation, and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining technical systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end users, and assisting with the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of AI-powered solutions. This position requires a proactive problem solver who can work independently, learn new technologies quickly, and contribute to process improvements through automation and AI-driven initiatives.

  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Burnaby, BC

Responsibilities

Technical Support & Systems Administration

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device problems.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Perform system maintenance, updates, and software deployments.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

AI & Automation Support

  • Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining AI-powered tools and applications.
  • Support AI-driven workflows, automations, and integrations across business systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • Monitor AI system performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Assist with prompt engineering, testing, and optimization of AI models and workflows.
  • Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical business applications.
  • Help maintain data quality and system integrity for AI-related projects.

Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend technology-driven solutions.
  • Create documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support implementation of new software platforms and technology initiatives.
  • Participate in technology projects and system upgrades.

Requirements

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Support, Systems Administration, Technical Support, or a related role.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows and/or macOS environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, cloud-based applications, and security best practices.
  • Experience working with automation tools and business software integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Background in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or AI Operations.
  • Experience with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Experience supporting cloud environments such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or AWS.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering and AI workflow optimization.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
