Allied Health Bookkeeper (Xero Specialist)

Job Overview

Our client is a growing allied health practice providing professional healthcare services and managing multiple patient and billing workflows across digital platforms. Their operations rely on accurate financial tracking and efficient coordination between clinical and accounting systems to ensure smooth business performance.

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support financial operations across Xero and Halaxy. This role focuses on maintaining accurate reconciliations, ensuring consistency between systems, and supporting the external accounting team with clean, reliable financial data.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, flexible hours during Lawnton, QLD business hours (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations and transaction categorisation in Xero to ensure accurate financial records
  • Reconcile data between Halaxy (practice management system) and Xero to maintain consistency across platforms
  • Process and manage data entry related to clinic revenue, expenses, and payment records
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records to support external accounting and reporting requirements
  • Assist with general administrative data entry tasks to support operational efficiency
  • Identify and flag discrepancies or irregularities in financial data for review and resolution

Requirements

  • Proven experience using Xero, including bank reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with practice management systems (Halaxy experience highly desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data handling
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to meet weekly/monthly deadlines
  • Clear written communication skills for reporting and coordination
