The Junior Accountant is a critical role within the Finance Department, bridging
the gap between junior execution and senior oversight. This position requires a
professional who combines high technical accuracy with autonomous
problem-solving capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for
ensuring the integrity of financial data through meticulous reconciliation and
proactive management of financial records, minimizing the need for supervisory
intervention in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
● Bank and Cash Reconciliation: Own the end-to-end bank reconciliation
process, ensuring all accounts are balanced and up-to-date.
● Advanced Discrepancy Investigation: Proactively identify, investigate, and
resolve accounting discrepancies. The role requires independent resolution
of errors to ensure supervisors are not required for routine troubleshooting.
● Month-End Closing Support: Provide active support during the month-end
close process, including journal entry preparation and financial statement
review.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively across departments to
gather financial information and clarify transactional data.
Requirements
● Experience: 3–5 years of professional accounting experience. ● Systems:
Proficiency in Great Plains (GP) Accounting System(nice to have). ● Technical
Skills: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.). ● Soft Skills:
Proven track record of handling complex reconciliations with minimal
supervision; strong proactive communication and
problem-solving skills.
● Education: Accounting Degree is required.
