Overview
This role is best suited for a technically capable, curious, and dependable operations professional who enjoys understanding how systems connect, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the tools that power a fast-moving business. You will help monitor, support, and improve the software ecosystem behind the client's daily operations, including SaaS platforms, API integrations, cloud-hosted servers, backend workflows, automations, and internal business tools.
Schedule:
- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM MST. Monday - Friday with 30 min unpaid break (may slightly change depending on what's agreed during the interview)
Responsibilities
- Learn and understand the client’s internal systems, workflows, and operational processes
- Provide temporary systems coverage during July, followed by ongoing technical operations and integrations support
- Support and troubleshoot API integrations between business platforms
- Monitor backend systems and identify operational or technical issues
- Assist with administration and maintenance of DigitalOcean virtual servers
- Help maintain and support platforms such as: HubSpot, Zuper, Yeti, Google Workspace, and related operational and internal business tools
- Diagnose automation failures, sync issues, API errors, workflow interruptions, and backend system issues
- Review logs, alerts, and system behavior to identify root causes
- Perform basic configuration updates and light scripting adjustments when needed
- Read, understand, and make minor updates to Python scripts where appropriate
- Coordinate with vendors, technical partners, or internal stakeholders when escalation is required
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures
- Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding system status, issue resolution, timelines, and next steps
- Help ensure business continuity by keeping critical tools, integrations, and workflows operating reliably
Requirements
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms and cloud-based business systems
- Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, integrations, and automation workflows
- Basic to intermediate Python knowledge
- Comfortable reading and understanding Python scripts
- Familiarity with Linux environments and cloud-hosted servers
- Experience with DigitalOcean, AWS, or comparable cloud platforms preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently investigate technical issues and identify practical solutions
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and work independently
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in technical operations, systems coordination, integrations support, or platform administration
- HubSpot or similar CRM administration experience
- Experience with workflow automation tools
- IT helpdesk or technical support experience
- Experience documenting technical systems, troubleshooting steps, and internal processes
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools
- Experience supporting field service, home service, logistics, scheduling, or operations-focused businesses
- Familiarity with Zuper, Yeti, or similar operational platforms
