Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Mandarin Bilingual Bookkeeper (Accounts Payable/Receivable) to support our Finance team with accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, reconciliations, and administrative functions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day financial operations, and communicating with Chinese-speaking customers, suppliers, and stakeholders when required. This role requires strong bookkeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
- Process customer invoices, receipts, credit notes, and adjustments
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue receivables
- Prepare debtor aging reports and provide collection updates
- Set up new customer accounts and maintain customer records
- Conduct credit checks and process credit applications
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and process payments via bank transfers and cheques
- Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with expense claims and petty cash management
Banking & Reconciliations
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Reconcile debtor and creditor sub-ledgers with the general ledger
- Reconcile cash receipts, credit card transactions, and shop sales
- Monitor company bank accounts and assist with cash flow management
- Ensure intercompany accounts reconcile accurately across entities
Financial Administration
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Support audit preparation and provide requested documentation
- Prepare EDI files, customer statements, and other finance reports within required deadlines
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative projects
Administrative Support
- Maintain customer and supplier records across company systems
- Set up and update online customer accounts
- Assist management and the Finance team with administrative tasks as required
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
Must-Have Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or a similar finance role
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)
- Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, SAP, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
- Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing, retail, or trading environment
- Exposure to intercompany accounting and multi-entity reconciliations
- Experience supporting external audits
