A growing pain management healthcare organization serving multiple communities across California through specialized clinics in major cities. The organization focuses on providing essential pain management services to patients who depend on timely, compassionate care coordination. With high patient volume and multiple locations, this is a mission-driven healthcare environment where your work directly impacts patient access to care.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments across multiple pain management clinic locations throughout California
- Check and confirm appointment statuses for existing patients seeking care updates
- Handle inbound calls regarding patient medication status and prescription inquiries
- Process appointment modifications and cancellations with attention to patient needs
- Provide compassionate customer service support for patients calling about their care
- Manage high-volume inbound call flow as part of a team processing 400-500 daily calls
- Maintain accurate patient information and appointment scheduling systems
- Coordinate between multiple clinic locations to optimize patient scheduling
Requirements
- Professional English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in the medical field (phone support, authorization processing, or healthcare-related roles)
- Professional phone manner with a patient-focused approach
- Experience with appointment scheduling systems and customer service protocols
- Ability to handle high-volume call environments with composure
- Bonus if you’re comfortable with medical terminology and insurance processes
- Experience working Pacific Time hours
- Bilingual capability is an advantage
