E-commerce Content Coordinator (Shopify)
Job Overview
Our client is looking for a versatile and detail-oriented E-Commerce Content Coordinator (Shopify) to support the transition of their digital footprint. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring advanced e-commerce functionalities, maintaining product data, and executing a consistent social media content strategy to build brand awareness. This position is a perfect fit for a proactive professional who excels at combining technical platform management with creative community building.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM NZST (20 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Configure and optimise the Shopify store including custom product options, measurement-based pricing calculators, and checkout functionality.
- Update and manage product listings, imagery, fabric options, lining selections, and inventory across the e-commerce platform.
- Set up promotional mechanics such as discount codes, freight options, sample ordering, and credit-on-order booking features.
- Develop and execute a social media content strategy and publishing calendar to build brand awareness across key platforms.
- Monitor competitor activity, conduct industry research, and track audience insights to inform content direction and marketing decisions.
- Respond to social media enquiries and manage community engagement to maintain a consistent and professional brand presence.
- Support the platform transition from a general interior design website to a focused curtain and window treatment e-commerce store.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with Shopify store setup, configuration, and ongoing e-commerce management.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content creation, and community building for product-based businesses.
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and how to preserve and grow organic search visibility.
- High level of attention to detail, particularly when managing complex product data and pricing logic.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong written communication skills with an eye for brand-consistent messaging.
