Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Senior Case Manager to support a fast-paced Plaintiff Personal Injury practice. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in litigation and takes full ownership of their caseload.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing personal injury litigation files from pre-suit through trial preparation and possesses a strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery practice, medical records management, and case organization. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
We are specifically seeking someone who relies on their legal expertise, critical thinking, and drafting skills rather than AI-generated content, as AI tools cannot be utilized for litigation drafting and case preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Case Management
- Manage plaintiff personal injury litigation files from pre-suit through trial preparation
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and litigation records
- Monitor and track litigation deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements
- Coordinate service of summonses, complaints, and other legal documents
Discovery & Litigation Support
- Prepare and respond to written discovery requests
- Draft discovery dispute correspondence and litigation-related communications
- Coordinate and schedule depositions with parties, witnesses, experts, and court reporters
- Prepare deposition notices and deposition-related documentation
- Assist attorneys with litigation strategy support and case development
Medical Records & Evidence Management
- Obtain, review, organize, and summarize medical records
- Analyze medical billing records and supporting documentation
- Maintain organized records of treatment providers, expenses, and damages documentation
- Prepare medical chronologies and case summaries as needed
Subpoenas & Legal Documentation
- Draft subpoenas for witnesses and records custodians
- Coordinate subpoena service and records retrieval
- Ensure compliance with applicable procedural requirements
Trial Preparation
- Assist with trial preparation and organization
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit binders, and supporting documentation
- Organize exhibits, witness files, and evidentiary materials
- Coordinate pre-trial logistics and attorney support
Communication & Client Support
- Communicate professionally with clients, providers, opposing counsel, court staff, and third-party vendors
- Provide updates regarding case status and litigation progress
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Senior Case Manager in Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation
- Strong understanding of litigation workflow and discovery practice
- Experience preparing and responding to written discovery
- Experience obtaining, reviewing, organizing, and summarizing medical records
- Familiarity with medical billing documentation and damages evaluation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Dropbox
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple active litigation matters simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and deadline management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling Georgia Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation
- Strong knowledge of Georgia civil litigation procedures
- Experience with trucking accident litigation
- Experience drafting subpoenas and coordinating service
- Trial preparation experience
- Familiarity with court filing procedures and litigation deadlines
- Experience working with high-volume litigation caseloads
