Marketplace Operations Manager (Mirakl Connect)

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Marketplace Operations Manager (Mirakl Connect) to support the setup, management, and optimization of our Mirakl Connect account while helping expand our presence across relevant B2B and industrial marketplaces. The role involves managing marketplace onboarding, preparing and optimizing product catalogues and listings, monitoring orders and customer communications, and ensuring accurate stock, pricing, and compliance data across platforms including Shopify, HubSpot, CIN7 Core, and Xero. The ideal candidate has strong marketplace and e-commerce experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build scalable processes that improve listing quality, operational efficiency, and marketplace performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the setup, management, and optimization of the company’s Mirakl Connect account
  • Review and improve current Mirakl marketplace setup and onboarding processes
  • Connect the business with relevant marketplace opportunities and manage application progress
  • Ensure accurate completion of business, tax, shipping, payment, and compliance information
  • Prepare and optimize product catalogues for marketplace readiness
  • Review and improve product titles, descriptions, images, specifications, and attributes
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and complete product data across marketplace platforms
  • Map products to the correct marketplace categories and identify missing product information
  • Create and maintain reusable product templates for efficient catalogue management
  • Optimize product listings with keyword-rich copy, strong bullet points, and professional presentation
  • Verify technical specifications, pricing accuracy, variant structures, and listing quality before launch
  • Research, evaluate, and apply to relevant marketplaces aligned with PPE, safety equipment, workwear, footwear, industrial supplies, and related industries
  • Liaise with marketplace teams and manage onboarding requirements and approvals
  • Monitor marketplace orders, customer messages, and system integrations
  • Respond to basic customer inquiries using approved responses and escalate complex concerns when necessary
  • Ensure marketplace service levels, shipping updates, and order flows are properly maintained
  • Monitor stock availability, pricing accuracy, margins, and discontinued products
  • Ensure marketplace data aligns with Shopify, CIN7 Core, and other source systems
  • Generate weekly and monthly marketplace performance reports and recommendations
  • Track listed products, approvals, sales performance, customer inquiries, and operational issues
  • Collaborate across systems including Shopify, HubSpot, CIN7 Core, Xero, and Mirakl Connect
  • Help build a scalable and efficient marketplace operation with standardized processes and reduced manual administration

Initial Project Scope:

  • Review and assess the current Mirakl Connect setup
  • Audit existing product data and identify missing or incomplete information
  • Prioritize products for initial marketplace listings
  • Research and identify suitable marketplaces for Dalton Safety products
  • Prepare marketplace-ready product listings and required attributes
  • Manage marketplace applications and onboarding processes
  • Establish a weekly reporting and update process
  • Develop a scalable and repeatable marketplace listing workflow

Ongoing Support Responsibilities:

  • Upload and maintain new product listings
  • Perform regular listing updates and optimizations
  • Manage marketplace applications and approvals
  • Monitor orders and customer messages
  • Conduct pricing, stock, and data accuracy checks
  • Prepare ongoing marketplace performance reports
  • Troubleshoot marketplace, integration, and listing issues

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with marketplace platforms such as Mirakl Connect or similar systems
  • Strong background in marketplace onboarding and marketplace account management
  • Experience in product data management, catalogue preparation, and product listing optimisation
  • Familiarity with Shopify, inventory systems, or other e-commerce platforms
  • Experience managing marketplace orders, customer messages, and service-level requirements
  • Knowledge of marketplace compliance, product attribute mapping, and category management
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate product, stock, and pricing data
  • Commercially minded with the ability to optimize listings for visibility and conversions
  • Comfortable working with technical product information and specifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, product templates, and data management tools
  • Confident communicator who can provide clear updates and proactively raise issues or questions
  • Experience in PPE, safety equipment, industrial supplies, construction products, workwear, or B2B marketplaces is a bonus
