Digital Marketing Specialist (Shopify)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a creative and adaptable Digital Marketing Specialist to support the growth of multiple brands in the sports, endurance, and nutrition space. This role combines performance marketing, content coordination, audience engagement, and e-commerce marketing across existing and future brands and websites. A key focus will be leveraging a large sports and endurance community database to drive engagement, retention, and product sales. Experience or interest in endurance sports, fitness, or outdoor performance culture is highly preferred.

Schedule

  • Flexible within client's business hours, AEST (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Campaign Management

  • Manage and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple brands and websites
  • Develop and maintain email marketing campaigns targeting existing event and customer databases
  • Plan and manage Meta advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram
  • Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns for traffic, conversions, and product visibility
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization and growth
  • Support audience retargeting, lead nurturing, and customer acquisition initiatives
  • Analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics and other reporting tools to identify opportunities for improvement

Social Media & Content Coordination

  • Coordinate and publish content across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and audience engagement across all channels
  • Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and event-driven marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate marketing calendars and content scheduling
  • Use social media scheduling and reporting tools to streamline publishing and performance tracking
  • Create or coordinate visual marketing assets using Canva or similar design tools

Audience Engagement & Growth

  • Leverage the existing sports and endurance event database to increase product awareness and conversions
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies for targeted campaigns
  • Support customer retention and re-engagement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to grow online communities and improve customer engagement
  • Manage email marketing campaigns through platforms such as Mailchimp or similar tools

Website & Brand Support

  • Support marketing efforts for current websites, with expansion into future websites and product launches
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on website promotions and campaign rollouts
  • Assist with product marketing, landing pages, and promotional messaging
  • Support Shopify website updates, promotions, and product marketing initiatives
  • Ensure marketing activities align with the culture and identity of endurance and sporting communities

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce marketing, or performance marketing
  • Strong understanding of email marketing
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms, Shopify, Canva, Google Analytics, and social media scheduling/reporting tools. 
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms and content calendars
  • Previous experience in sports, fitness, nutrition, lifestyle, or e-commerce brands highly preferred
  • Experience working with large customer databases and audience segmentation strategies
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning and online consumer behavior
