Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Landscaping Quantity Takeoff Specialist (Bluebeam) with strong experience in Bluebeam to perform accurate material quantity takeoffs from commercial landscaping construction drawings, interpret architectural and landscape plans, prepare structured bill of quantities data, and support estimating and procurement processes through precise calculations, plan analysis, and clear communication of discrepancies or missing information.

Schedule:

• Flexible during client business hours | 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM AEST
• Part-time dedicated resource (20 hours per week)
  

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from commercial landscaping construction drawings using Bluebeam
• Calculate accurate surface areas, volumes, and material quantities for bill of quantities preparation
• Interpret architectural and landscape plans to identify and measure all relevant material types (concrete, paving, rubber, timber, etc.)
• Organize and present takeoff data in a clear, structured format ready for estimating and procurement
• Flag discrepancies or missing information in plans and communicate findings to the project team

Requirements:

• Proven experience performing quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and plan reading
• Solid mathematical skills including area, volume, and unit conversion calculations
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data extraction
• Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision
• Strong written communication skills for reporting and clarifications

Scope:

• Focus on commercial landscaping projects, primarily childcare centre builds
• Support the internal team by removing the takeoff bottleneck from the construction manager
• Work across projects ranging from $300K to $1M in value
• Deliver structured bill of quantities outputs to enable faster and more accurate quoting
